A Marion Junction man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday night in Dallas County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA),  Walter L. Paige, 51, was fatally injured when the 2000 Dodge Ram he drove was struck by the 2016 International tractor-trailer driven by Thomas A. Rocha, 44, of El Paso.

Paige was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Rocha was injured and transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. 

The crash occurred on U.S. 80 near Dallas County 177, three miles outside Uniontown. No further details are available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
