The Black Belt Community Foundation awarded grants to 16 Dallas County companies last week.
Dallas County nonprofits received a total of $60,401 in grants: ArtsRevive, Bridge Crossing Jubilee, Circle Of Love Outreach, Five Points Community Development Center, Angel of Faith Outreach, Blackbelt & Central Alabama Housing, Charity Fellowship Outreach, Circle Of Love Outreach, City Blocks Project Wellness Center, Coalition of Concerned Families, Five Points Community Development Center, Girl Level Up Inc., Imagination Library Selma-Dallas Inc., It Takes A Village/Dallas County, Kids 1st Disability Resource Center, Selma Area Food Bank, The Sunshine Alvarado Healing Center and V.I.P. Organization, Inc.
“Celebrating our 20th year, the Black Belt Community Foundation is proud to award $60,000 to 16 different Dallas County organizations across 18 separate grants,” BBCF president Felicia Lucky said. “There will be a direct impact upon at least 82,727 persons, given the scope of the project work across these organizations. We are thrilled to see those first-time grantees coming to the table to join the process this year and equally happy to support our previous grantees whose impactful work continues into the next stages of transformation. Dallas County grantees set a high bar indeed.”
