Selma Police Department investigating June 24 shooting

The Selma Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy injured on June 24.

According to Police Chief Kenta Fulford, SPD officers responded to a shooting at the 1600 block of St. Phillips Street in reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, SPD officers made contact with a 17-year-old black man who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Fulford said there are no suspects identified at this time
