Fashion on the River will celebrate its 10th-anniversary fashion show on Saturday night at Finesse Kouture.

The two-hour FOTR show starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Admission is $25. An afterparty will be held after the show. Free admission, but a person must be 21 years old to attend.

FOTR founder Aisha Smith will give away two surprise scholarships in memory of her mother, Jessica Chestnut, who was instrumental in forming FOTR. Smith said that the requirements for the scholarship, a student must be a FOTR model and currently in college or attending for the fall semester. 

Smith said she anticipates a strong fashion event for Selma and Dallas County residents. Models and designers participating in the show are locally and across the state: Selma, Marion, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Bessemer, and Birmingham.

“Our show is all-inclusive; we welcome everyone to the runway,” Smith said.
