Jack’s Family Restaurant in Selma closed its doors on Tuesday night for a four-month rebuild.
Over the next few weeks, corporate restaurant officials said they will demolish the restaurant on West Dallas Avenue with plans to open sometime in November.
Dustin Tyner, part of Jack’s construction crew, said many Jack’s locations needed remodeling, and Selma was next on the list.
Another member of Jack’s construction crew, Marvin Bushey, also said it was time for an upgrade.
When Jack’s reopens, the location will feature a Southern Charm architecture design. Design aspects include a large dining room for dine-in guests, a large interior window for customers to watch their biscuits being made from scratch and sizable porch seating areas outside.
“We think customers will enjoy the additional dining room space and other unique elements the new and improved location will offer,” Jack’s Family Restaurants CEO Todd Bartmess said in a statement about the remodeling of all its restaurants.
