Selma Mayor James Perkins, Jr. appointed Johnathan T. (J.T.) Cole to Interim Assistant Chief for the Selma Police Department on July 3.

Cole served as the Interim Police Chief during the administrative leave of Kenta Fulford, who was reinstated  last month. Cole was previously the Assistant Chief of the Dallas County Sheriff Department.

Perkins said the City of Selma officially welcomes Chief Cole as Assistant Chief of Police and look
forward to the future progress and synergism within the Selma Police Department.
