Hannah, Davis and Blocton will play for the South boys’ squad. Moore and Oliver will compete for the South girls team.

Moore was selected for the Alabama Sports Writers Association all-state team and named The Selma Times-Journal girls basketball and softball players of the year.

“Just glad she has the opportunity to experience the all-star game,” Keith girls coach Cecil Williams said. “For all the work she puts in away from practice is paying off.”

Selma High girls coach and Assistant Principal Wil Morgan said Oliver deserved her spot in the game.

“I am very proud of her, she has worked extremely hard,” Morgan said. “She’s getting better every day. Everything that is coming her way, she truly deserves it! She has only scratched the surface.”

Hannah, who plays for the Bama Celtics’ AAU team, succeeds Tommy Tisdale III as the latest Keith All-Star player.

“This is a part of the standard we set for our student-athletes at Keith and I’m extremely proud of him and excited to see him play,” Keith coach Marcus Turner said.

Dallas County High coach Cliff Nix said he’s glad to see Davis earn recognition.

“I’m super proud of him,” Nix said. “He has been a proven leader and scholar on the court and in the classroom. He has been on the varsity team since entering high school as a freshman. His hard work and dedication has really paid off over the years.”
