Two Dallas County residents graduate from Mississippi State

Two former Morgan Academy graduates earned degrees from Mississippi State University.
Emily Strickland and Sawyer Hopkins were among 3,500 graduates on MSU’s spring graduation list.
Hopkins, who graduated from Morgan Academy in 2018, received a master’s degree in science from MSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Strickland, who graduated from Morgan Academy in 2020, received a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s Bagley College of Engineering.
Hopkins and Strickland were both standout athletes during their careers at Morgan Academy. Hopkins was an All-Star baseball player. Strickland ran track and played softball.
