Gunnar Henderson is making his hometown proud.

Not only did the Morgan Academy graduate make his first appearance in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, he is among the top performers in all of baseball. He’s tied for third in home runs. He ranks near the top of so many statistical categories including triples (fifth overall in the American League), fewest strikeouts (ninth in the AL) and runs (third in the AL).

He’s even earned the endorsement of legendary Oriole Cal Ripken Jr. 

While those achievements are great, Selma and Dallas County can be really proud of the person he is. He’s been a great ambassador for his hometown and has been always willing to take time with his family, friends and fans.
