Michael Hardy, Sr.
affectionately known by all who loved him as “Big Daddy” was born April 02, 1954, to
the late Claudia Mae Hardy and Andy D. Wilson. He departed this life on Tuesday, July
23, 2024.

Mr. Michael Hardy, Sr. confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was
baptized. He joined Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Tyler, Alabama. Later, he rededicated
his life to Christ and became a member of Ellwood Baptist Church where he attended
faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Gary Crum, Sr. He enjoyed spending time with
family and managing his business, The Snack Store.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving mother, Claudia Mae Hardy, father, Andy
D. Wilson, daughter, Veronica Hardy, son, Michael Hardy, Jr. Three brothers, Willie
Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, and Andy Wilson, Jr. Three sisters, Carolyn Pearson, Laura
Brayboy, and Hattie Coley.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Latoya Johnson Hardy. Two loving
daughters and one loving son, Alicia Hardy (Montgomery, Alabama), Kayla Jones
(Montgomery, Alabama), son, Kenderick Stringer (Antwaniece Rogers) (Prattville, Ala-
bama) stepdaughter, Kanijah Johnson, stepsons, Jamarrion Johnson, and J’lynd Johnson
(Selma, Alabama) and Javiian Johnson (Tennessee}. Grandchildren Sher’derrius Hardy, Jhaniah Hardy, Kennidi Hardy Bradley, Kenton Brewer, Khalijah DeMichael White,
Sedrick William Junior. Two great grandchildren Sher’mari Hardy, Isleya Hardy.
Two loving brothers, Robert (Reggier) Hardy, Sr. (Pensacola, Florida) Subaskin (Annie)
Wilson (Atlanta, Georgia). Two loving sisters, Helen Anderson (Pensacola, Florida) and
Audrey Wilson (Atlanta, Georgia). A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. And a special nephew, Timothy Spencer.
