The Valley Grande City Council is expected to fill the vacant council seat at its council meeting next Monday.
Former council members Tammy Troha and Lamar Morgan have been nominated to replace Bruce Hughes, who died on June 13. The council members, Mayor Wayne Labbe, council members Kay Davidson, Sara Day, Jane Harris and Robby Rose will vote. Hughes was a dedicated council member, and we miss him. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to his family as they deal with his loss.
When we made the decision to cover Valley Grande city council in 2018, Morgan and Troha were both council members at that time. We believe either will be a great addition to an already strong council that is dependable and works well with us.
We’re looking forward to Valley Grande having a full city council again.
