Over the last several weeks, the Drug-Free Communities of Dallas County handed out Hope Awards throughout the area, including the Dallas County Commission, Selma City Council, Dallas County Schools Board of Education and Selma City Schools Board of Education.
“We appreciate the city council’s and the commission’s continued support of DFC,” DFCDC Executive Director Jerria Martin said.
Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn and Selma City Council President Billy Young said they appreciate Martin’s effort to keep the area free of drugs.
Other local businesses received Hope Awards, including Domino’s Pizza, American Deli and Carter Drugs.
“We are so grateful to serve the community alongside these awesome people and businesses,” Martin said.
