The Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency will conduct its regularly scheduled monthly test of the emergency outdoor warning sirens, Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The testing of the sirens is necessary to ensure that all systems are functioning properly. The sirens are designed to be audible to people that are outdoors. A weather radio should be used inside the home to alert you of severe weather.
The public is not expected to take any action in conjunction with the testing. All sirens have been repaired and should sound during this test.
This test will continue the first Tuesday of every month between 10 and 10:15 a.m., unless severe weather threatens the area.
If you do not hear your respected siren, residents are asked to report this information to the Dallas County DHS/EMA at 334-874-2515.
If the threat of severe weather exists on the test date, then the test will occur on the following Wednesday.
