Patrick Anthony Henry, Jr. was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on July 5, 1942 to Patrick Anthony Henry, Sr. and Ruth Smith Henry. He passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024. He attended Orrville High School and two very fun years at Auburn University.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Shoemaker Henry; his three daughters, Jessica Connick (Stephen), Marni Tutt (Walter), and Adriene Overmyer (Hugh); his son, Patrick Shane Henry; grandchildren, Brooks Crawford Cannon, James Wallace Tutt IV (Josey), Caroline Overmyer Stephens (Wil), Camilla Tutt Carpenter (Sam), Sawyer Bernard Connick (Jacolinne), Hugh Henry Overmyer, Clayton McLean Connick (McKenna), Patrick Gavin Henry, Sarah Michael Overmyer, Eva KathrynOvermyuer, and Ansley Camden Henry; three great grandchildren, Camdyn Hairston Carter, River Henry Cannon, and Frances McCrae Carpenter; sister, Karen Ruth Henry from Jennings, LA; nieces, Daphne LeBlanc Huff (Cory), Michilyn Womacks Brown (Richard), Laura Womacks Sprayberry (Brett); and nephews, Bryan Anthony and Scott Anthony LeBlanc.
He worked for years at Casey Stock Yard and Selma Stock Yard. He worked for 20 years in the Henry Dairy in Orrville, Alabama. He retired in 1998 and moved to Demopolis, Alabama where he rode many horses and fulfilled all duties as the BEST Big Daddy to 11 grandchildren. His love, laugh, and joy will remain in our hearts forever!
Memorial services will be held at Orrville United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Dr. George Wood officiating.
