A Selma man turned himself into the Selma Police Department on Monday night for alleged involvement in the murder of a Perry County man last month.

Albert Finney, 30, is accused in the murder of Christian Moore, 23, who was found burned inside his vehicle in Valley Grande on July 15. The truck was found burned on County Road 230.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office discovered the vehicle burned badly with Moore inside. Thomas was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, first-degree criminal mischief and abuse of a corpse.

Finney is held in jail without bond.

Selma resident Artavis Thomas, 24, also faces charges in the murder case.

According to Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum, Moore’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine the cause of death. Based on that outcome, additional charges could be filed.

Moore is from Newbern, a town located in Hale County. He had been reported missing since July 11.
