• The Dallas County School System is actively seeking to identify and enroll all students who are living in a homeless situation that reside within Dallas County School’s jurisdiction through the McKinney-Vento Assistance Act. • The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers. Critical needs currently are for disaster action team volunteers and blood drive volunteers. There are over 100 volunteer needs including disaster action team member, shelter worker, health services volunteer, disaster action team auxiliary member, fleet and facilities operation positions, and blood donor ambassadors. • Alabama State Bar volunteer lawyers program will have its Selma monthly civil legal advice clinic on the first Wednesday of each month from 1-3 p.m. at the Dr. Michael and Catherine Bullock Community and Recreational Center, 1428 Broad Street. Local lawyers will provide free legal advice to those who cannot afford legal assistance on topics including divorce, visitation, debt, tenant issues, probate matters and Bankruptcy.
