The kick Selma was backed up on its own 4-yard line. After an offside penalty, Woods went back to the air. This time he found a streaking Coner for a 91-yard touchdown, the two-point conversion failed, but Selma led 12-8 with 2:50 left before halftime.

The second half began with the teams trading turnovers in Southside territory. The Saints finally broke through again on a 26-yard touchdown run by Robert Lytle. Woods connected with Nicholas Thomas for the two-point conversion, giving Selma a 20-8 lead with 6:04 left in the third quarter.

Kendarius White had two interceptions to lead the passing defense. Kristan Moore, Brian Shears, Amere Eaton, Ryan Woods and Jakobe Sanders also had big nights on defense to limit the Panther attack.
