Two Dallas County schools are receiving votes in the Alabama Sports Writers Association poll released Wednesday morning.

The Selma Saints and the Morgan Academy Senators are both receiving votes in the poll this week. The Saints, which defeated Southside 44-8 in the Queen City Classic, received two votes for 18th place in Class 5A. Selma will travel to Jemison this Friday.

Morgan Academy defeated Southern Academy 30-22 in Week 1. They canceled their game on Friday against Wilcox Academy, as the school was mourning the death of Caden Tellier, and will be on a bye this week. They are currently scheduled to resume their games on Sept. 13.
