MAPLESVILLE — The visiting Ellwood Christian Eagles were no match for the seventh-ranked Maplesville, as the Red Devils took the region win 55-0.
The Eagles (0-2) will not play next week and return to action on Thursday, Sept. 19, against Verbena. Maplesville (2-0) travels to Notasulga on Sept. 13.
The Red Devils took control early and had a running clock by the second quarter, as they built a 42-0 halftime lead. Maplesville added touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter to take the win.
