Selma co-angler takes ninth in final BFL event

Selma co-angler Mark Black took home ninth place in the MLF Bass Fishing League (BFL) Super Tournament on the Alabama River this weekend in Prattville.
Black caught seven bass weighing a total of nine pounds and 14 ounces. He took home $289.
The tournament, which concluded Sunday, was the fifth and final event of the season for the BFL Bama Division.
Boater David Wesson of Southside caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 28 pounds, 5 ounces, to win the MLF Bass Fishing League (BFL) Super Tournament on the Alabama River.. Wesson earned $4,334 for his victory.
James Willoughby of Gulfport, Mississippi, caught a bass that weighed 4 pounds, 4 ounces, and earned the Big Bass Boater award of $495.
Brian Graham of Jackson won the co-angler division and $2,167 Sunday, after bringing a two-day total of 10 bass to the scale that totaled 16 pounds, 9 ounces.
Danny Pinho of Bay Minette earned the Berkley Big Bass co-angler award of $247, catching a bass that weighed in at 3 pounds, 11 ounces – the largest co-angler catch of the day.
