The Dallas County Extension office is participating in Alabama Cooperative Extension’s 2024 Extension week campaign.
Sunday, Sept. 15, marked the beginning of Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s (ACES) second annual Extension Week campaign. This campaign’s goal is to help inform more Alabama citizens about ACES and the educational programs it provides to help improve the lives of Alabama Citizens and communities. The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is the primary outreach organization for the land grant mission of Alabama A&M And Auburn University.
As part of this weeklong, statewide campaign, the Dallas County Extension office has been using its Facebook page to highlight some of the extension professionals who serve our county. Our office will be using the remainder of this week to continue highlighting additional Extension professionals and the topic areas ACES works in to provide unbiased, research-based information. Our staff along with several regional extension agents and state extension specialists work to provide educational resources to Dallas County citizens.
They encourage community members to drop by the office and take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about extension from 10 a.m. and noon. Door prizes will be given to the first 20 visitors. If you are not already following the Dallas County Extension office Facebook page, please take this opportunity to follow us at “Dallas County-Alabama Extension”, for more ACES spotlights and information on upcoming Extension programs. Our office is located at 429 Lauderdale Street in Selma.
