Valley Grande woman killed in Perry County crash

A Valley Grande woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama 219 on Friday afternoon.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash occurred at 5:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20. They identified the victim as Deborah S. Browder, 69, of Valley Grande.
She was driving a 2006 Hyundai Accent when it collided head-on with a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by Donna M. McDaniel, 58, of Vance. The crash occurred on Alabama 219 near the 18 mile marker, approximately 15 miles north of Selma, in Perry County.
ALEA’s reports indicated that Browder was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. McDaniel was injured and airlifted to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
