Student makes 36 on one of ACT tests

Congratulations to the newest member of the ACT Perfect 36 Club at Morgan Academy. Jane Henry scored a perfect 36 on the reading section of the September ACT.

Cosmetology, STEM to be offered 

Beginning Nov. 1, Dallas County System of Services will offer free cosmetology and STEM classes to students in grades 8-10. The classes will be held Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Green Street Community Center. If interested, please contact Ms. Tawannda Brown at (334) 419-3731. Space is limited.

Saints Virtual Academy to administer PreACT

Attention Saints Virtual Academy 10th grade scholars, the PreACT will be administered on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024 at Saints Virtual Academy and Alternative Learning Center. The PreACT is mandatory for all 10th graders and is being provided at no charge. Scholars are asked to arrive at the school by 8 a.m. The PreACT will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. A grab-and-go lunch will be provided at the end of the testing session. No cell phones will be allowed. Makeup testing sessions will be administered on Oct. 23 for scholars who did not attend the October 16th session. A letter with this information was sent to parents.
