Singer and Super Star Asher HaVon Comes Home

Selma Singer Asher HaVon, who is also known as the winner of “The Voice” for the show’s 25th season, came back home in late November to visit a Selma City School for American Education Week.

HaVon went to Clark Elementary in Selma to speak to the children of the social justice academy about the importance of education and his personal inspiration behind being a student in the Selma City Schools.

“Asher’s visit during American Education Week was filled with inspiration, gratitude and unforgettable moments, according to The Selma City Schools Webpage online.

The post referenced how HaVon inspired the students of Clark Elementary and provided a reminder to the kids that dreams really do start in the classroom.

Also, a post from The Clark Social Justice Academy, said they celebrated not only HaVon’s accomplishment being a resident and a student of Selma but all the amazing staff they have to make their school great throughout each school year such as members in the cafeteria, their crossing guards, paraprofessionals, secretaries, substitutes, custodians, counselors, coaches, interventionists, speech therapists and their teachers.

While HaVon was in Selma that week, he also attended the Selma City School District’s leadership team meeting that was held at Edgewood Elementary and according to the Selma City Schools webpage, he also expected to perform in “The Lion King” play that will be held next year in Montgomery.
