Sidney Norman Love passed from this life to his heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center following several years of failing health. He was a member of Barrett Road United Methodist Church.

He was born on June 25, 1942, to Paul and Effie Love who lived on the family farm in Gaylesville. Following the passing of his parents, he went to live with Al and Marnie Patton growing up in New York. He was a retired Greyhound bus driver.

Sidney leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda Rogers Love; a loving step-daughter, Melanie W. Blair (Walter); granddaughters, Shelby Crawford Wilson and Lydia Blair (Eben Macon); and great-grandchildren Blair Wilson, Allen Wilson and Leif Macon. He also leaves behind his caring brother Robert Love (Ann).

He was predeceased by his parents and foster parents; brother, Henry Love (Delcie); sisters, Elizabeth Morgan and Rachel Rau (Fred); and stepson, James Roger Willis.

At Sidney’s request, there will be no funeral service.
