WCCS crowns Homecoming King and Queen During 2nd Annual Coronation

Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) celebrated its 2nd annual Homecoming Coronation on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in the Earl Goodwin Theatre on the Selma Campus.
The event brought together students, faculty, staff, and community members to honor the Homecoming Court and showcase school spirit.
The coronation featured seven outstanding participants:
- Shirlinda Crawford
- Amaya Murry
- JaQuiatta Posey
- Ta’nia Hays
- Devion Ellis
- Terence Davis
- Brendon Adkins
During the ceremony, Devion Ellis and Amaya Murry were crowned as the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen. Freshman Representatives were announced as Terence Davis and Ta’nia Hays, while Shirlinda Crawford was named the Second Representative.
The Homecoming Court was formally presented during the highly anticipated Homecoming basketball game on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024.
“The Homecoming Coronation is a wonderful tradition that highlights the excellence and leadership of our students,” said Dr. James M. Mitchell, President of WCCS. “This event not only showcases the dedication of our student leaders but also fosters a sense of community and pride throughout our campus.”
