Several railroad crossings throughout the city of Selma are still closed.
The railroad crossings that are actively closed are located on Franklin Street and Lawrence Street, blocked off with orange caution signs.
Behind the signs, parts of the railroad are dug up, gutting out all the problems that have been causing issues once cars pass over it on the street.
When asked about the crossings that were supposed to be back open last Friday, Mayor Perkins Executive Assistant Jasmine Richardson said she was unaware of the crossings being still closed and said she is actively working to figure out why.
Speaking of closures, just behind Selma High School and right in front of the Garden of Eden Tree Of Life Ministries Church, there is a roadway section blocked off and closed for this week for road repair and maintenance.
At this present time, there are no updates on when the road and railroad crossings mentioned will be open.
