6 For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
— Isaiah 9:6-7 (NKJV)
This prophecy delivered by Isaiah was recorded nearly 600 years before the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
What that man of God spoke forth then is still true today.
No matter what you see or hear, God has a plan and it will come to fruition. In fact, we are progressing toward having that promise completely fulfilled with every passing day.
On the day Jesus was born in Bethlehem the power of John 3:16 was released. Mary gave birth because of the love God has for humanity, despite how poorly it may regard Him at times.
Do not be mislead. The prophecy found in Isaiah 9:6-7 is as powerful now as it was then.
It is so important that we take the words found in these two verses and build an attitude of hope and determination upon them.
Know who God is and embrace Him at every possible level. He is truly Wonderful!!!
