In the midst of the new year, The Selma Center for Nonviolence, Truth and Reconciliation non-profit organization is encouraging the community to give back to those in need.

This year, the organization is hosting its ninth annual clothing drive, where they are asking community members to donate gently used and freshly laundered clothing items including shoes and accessories now until Jan. 13.

Clothing and items mentioned can be for persons of any age and size and can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 8 Mulberry Road in Selma.

On Monday, Jan. 20, the organization will host its official clothing giveaway for those in need within the community to give them items to bring in the new year.
