Selma girls extend win streak to 12 games

The Selma Lady Saints defeated Demopolis 55-33 on the road Tuesday to extend their winning streak to 13 in a row. 

Rod’Neisha Parker led the way with 24 points while JyKierra Oliver added 15 points. Safiya White and Shamiya Blake had six points each followed by McKenzie Carter with four points.

This win earned the sweep over the Lady Tigers. They now improved to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in area play.

Poor to that win, they edged Wetumpka 44-41 and soundly defeated Montgomery Academy 55-35 to earn the tournament championship after winning the Dallas County Championship on Dec. 21.

In other girls games, Keith defeated Linden 50-39. Saint James defeated Dallas County 95-14. Georgiana defeated Southside 52-21. Marion defeated Ellwood Christian 49-15.

In boys action, Dallas County defeated Saint James 55-38. Marion defeated Ellwood Christian 53-30. Southside defeated Georgiana on Monday 60-46. Keith defeated Linden 72-25.
