A single-vehicle crash occurred Thursday night on U.S. Hwy 80 that resulted in the deaths of four people.

The crash occurred at 8:10 p.m. on U.S. 80 at 92-mile marker near Alabama 41 in Dallas County. Another victim was also transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The identities of the victims have not been released by ALEA as of noon Friday.

According to reports from the scene, a vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the road and went into the woods.

The westbound traffic blocked off and closed for a while due to authorities investigating the scene.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s  (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division were on scene as well. ALEA updated that the road was clear at 6 a.m. Friday, but no additional details had been released at that time.
