The City of Selma and the Selma & Dallas County Centre for Commerce will kick-off the newly developed “Thanks, Selma” campaign on today at the Selma Mall from 4-5 p.m.
“This community campaign was designed to point out the positive aspects of our city and to build pride and support for retail, tourism and community development,” stated Lauri Cothran, Executive Director of Selma-Dallas County Tourism and Convention Bureau.
Campaign organizers are looking for positive “testimonials” to adopt for use on the radio and print campaign.
In the coming months, the newspaper and radio in Selma will feature “testimonial” style public announcements about a positive experience a person has had in Selma.
Every business in town is encouraged to adopt the campaign and place “Thanks, Selma” on all business marquees.
If you have had a positive experience while visiting or shopping in Selma, call the Centre for Commerce office at 334-875-7241 and tell us why you’d like to say “Thanks, Selma!”
