George Earl Drinkard

George Earl Drinkard, age 90, died Sunday July 3, 2005 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held 2:30 Wednesday July 6, 2005 at Pineview Memory Gardens officiated by Rev Russell Morrow and Rev Hank Spencer and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Mr. Drinkard is survived by his wife, Grace Stifflemire Drinkard of Selma, son, James Earl (Julie) Drinkard of Selma, granddaughter, Fran D (Wood) Spivey of Tyler. Serving as pallbearers will be Brice Thorne, Donnie Stone, Mark Martin, James Atkins, Morris Veach, and William Sewell. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Travis, Rusty Travis, Jim Vansandt, Charles Ellis, Johnny Webster, Sam Hillman and Deacons of First Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wiregrass Hospice or First Christian Church.
