Bush Hog jumped out to an early 5-2 lead and with the help of a four-run fourth inning notched a victory over Steve Lane’s Truck and Auto in 11- and 12-year old baseball action on May 28. Logan Campbell notched the victory on the mound for the red-clad Bush Hog Squad, going five innings and recording nine strikeouts. He also helped himself out offensively by recording one of the team’s three hits. Brenton Sanders hammered out the other two. For Steve Lane, Arthur Murry and Michael Clark had two hits each. Andrew Dudley, Will Tipton and Raheem Robins finished the night with one hit. In other action:

Carter Drug 12, Mr. Roy’s 10
Carter jumped out to an early 6-0 lead thanks to a home run from Thomas Curtis. Henry Blevins, Anfernee Simpson and Treverious Moore each added doubles. Moore singled in the victory.
Avonte Agee doubled for Mr. Roy’s. Doug Molett, Tyler Roberts and Charlie rgo also contributed hits to the cause.
Moore-Stewart 3, Swift Drugs 2
Moore-Stewart’s two runs in the bottom half of the sixth frame pushed them to a narrow victory, 3-2. Craig Price, Parker Hughes, Derrick Walker and Joseph Watters each recorded singles. For the Swift Drugs squad, Paul Kirk Jones, Reid Stewart, Brandon Harvell and Justin Seele each recorded singles.
Johnson PB 5, Selma C&C 4
Johnson’s two run third inning proved to be the difference in their narrow, 5-4 victory. Charles Shoulin singled twice for Johnson, while Tyler Jones, Malcolm Mabien and Nicholas White each singled for Selma Cash and Carry.
Dallas Air 2, WHBB 0
Taylor Copeland tripled and Blanton Strickland doubled to lead Dallas Air to a 2-0 victory over WHBB. Robert Flowers and Elijah Thomas tacked on hits as the Dallas squad scored runs in the third and fifth innings to garner the victory. Devonta Cleveland singled for WHBB.
Regions 12, A.G. Edwards 2
The Regions Bank squad spread 12 runs over 12 hits en route to a 12-2 victory over A.G. Edwards. Terrence Fennory had three hits and three RBI’s to lead the Regions squad. Russell Conaway, T.J. Murry and Deskendray Blake added two hits. Jeremy Mack, Roderick Bean and Aaron Robinson finished the night with one hit each.
For A.G. Edwards, Justin Moreland finished the night with a pair of hits, followed by Davarious Bender, Jabrial Hayes and Timothy Thomas with one hit.
Brown Drug 11, STJ 1
Everette Thompson roped a pair of hits and a trio of RBI’s to lead Brown to an 11-1 victory over the Selma Times-Journal squad. Derrion Pratt, Drew Ross, Tavarska Chappell, Arthur Oliver, Amos Bonner and Matthew Tillery added an additional hit for Brown. Sherrone Lindsey and Roosevelt Jones each had a hit for the STJ squad.
George’s PB 5, Turner Motor 1
George’s Paint and Body spread five runs over five hits en route to a 5-1 victory.
Joel Yarbrough gave up one run over four innings while recording four strikeouts. Jody Glova, Nathan Irwin, Jabaris Hardy, Yarbrough and Kevin Simmons had hits in the win. For Turner Motor, Ruiaderious Thigpen, Michael Perryman and Wilbert McConico each had a single in the loss.

Pilcher 13, Healthmark 6
Randall Hamilton notched the win of the Pilcher-McBride Squad, going six innings and giving up one run in the seven-inning victory. Roberious Thomas, Drew Blackmon, Marquis Rosco and Deangelo Norris each had singles in the victory.
Justin McAfee notched the loss on the mound in three innings of work. Andre Davis, Lamarious Prince and Justin Foman had hits for Healthmark.

Amsouth 13, Pilcher 7
Winston Bearden and Bobby Thomas singled twice to lead Amsouth to a 13-7 win. Marquis Roscoe, Jacoby Adams, Nicholas Hill and Ivan Johnson singled in the loss for Pilcher-McBride.
