Lowndes County Board of Education member Steven Foster has been selected as the Alabama Association of School Boards’ new president-elect.

He took office after the AASB’s annual convention on Dec. 3 to 5 in Birmingham. Foster will take the presidency post after current president Florence Bellamy of the Phoenix City Board of Education concludes her term in December 2011
