The Selma High School Lady Saints notched a second place finish, earning them a slot in the sub-state tournament.

The Lady Saints will host the third place team from either the Birmingham or the Opelika regions on Tuesday.

The time has yet to be announced by the Alabama High School Athletic Association, according to Johnnie Wells, coach of the Lady Saints.

On Friday and Saturday, Selma High competed in the sectional tournament against Robert E. Lee High School, George Washington Carver High, Sidney Lanier High School, Prattville and Jefferson Davis High.

Selma finished the tournament as a No. 2 seed meaning that they will host the sub-state while the tournament’s No. 3 and 4 travels.
