Bessie Green Williams
Bessie Green Williams, 100, of Selma, died April 14, 2005, at her home.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Town Creek Baptist Church, Tyler, Alabama with the Rev. Marion Green officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include six sons; John Arthur, Lawrence, Frederick, Jimmy, Walter and Samuel. One adopted son, Arthur Lewis. Two daughters; Verda King and Mildred Smith. Three daughters-in-law; Nettie, Pearlie and Wanda, One son-in-law. John King and a host of neices, nephews, grand, great grand, and great great grand children. She also leaves many loving care givers and love ones. She was a faithful member of Town Creek Baptist Church and served in many capacities.
Linda Carol Martin Hutson
Linda Carol Martin Hutson, 50, a resident of Jones, AL, died Thursday April 14, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, from Leak-Memory Chapel with the Reverend Hugh Chatham officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery Leak-Memory Chapel directing.
Mrs. Hutson was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae “Mae Ma Ma” Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hutson, Sr.; children, Robert “Robbie’ Hutson, III, Anthony Hutson, Michelle Hutson Little and Angela Hutson Adams; father, Jimmy Martin; brother, Donnie Martin, grandchildren; Linda Gayle Hutson, Taylor Marie Little, Toney Mae Little, Jack Little, Josh Hutson Adams, Abbigail Stephenson, Cameron Dawkins and Elizabeth Sanchez; nephews, Josh Martin and D.J. Martin; great nephew, D.J. Martin, Jr. and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Josh Martin, D.J. Marlin, Marvin Brewer, Bubba Hallman, Patrick Hallman and Michael Hallman.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, from 1- 2 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel.
Gerbrand Marbus
Gerbrand “Gerry” Marbus, Age 62, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 17, 2005, at a hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
Gerry was a former restaurant owner in Selma, Alabama, and he retired to Pensacola in 1988. Gerry was born in Noordwijk, Netherlands, and he was survived by his sister, Alida Whittock, and her husband, Keith, of Weymouth, United Kingdom, and by his brothers, Denijs, and his wife, Marianne, Cor, and his wife, Adrie, and Leen, and his wife, Ingrid, all of Noordwijk, Netherlands, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and his good friend and business partner, Marshall Thrash.
There will be a private scattering of Gerry’s cremated remains in the Gulf of Mexico.
Sam Edward Moore
Sam Edward Moore, 52, of Dallas County, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Dallas County.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.
Odessa Meadows
Odessa Meadows, a resident of Montgomery, died Sunday, April 17, 2005.
Funeral services and survivors will be announced later by Bell Funeral Home.
