Marion E. Gault
Marion Elizibeth “Beth” Gault , 20, died Friday, January 28, 2005, at a Birmingham hospital.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
She is survived by her grandparents, Jay and Tiny Baker (PaPa & Nana); her mother Judi Knight, her father, Tommy (Pauline) Gault; her daughter, Kaitlyn Elizibeth Gault and her fiance’ Michael Reedy.
She has also left behind many special friends.
Beth was born on March 1, 1984 and became the light in her family’s life at a very early age. She died from complications with Cystic Fibrosis.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Beth’s memory to the Children’s Hospital CF Research Foundation.
Joe C. Mickles
Joe C. Mickles, of Montgomery, died Sunday, January 23, 2005.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 29, at the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home with Elder Joseph Pace officiating. Burial followed in Big Union Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include father, Eddie Mickles; two sisters, Barbara (Willie) Worthy and Louise (Charles) Williams; two brothers, Eddie Mickles Jr. and Robert Mickles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Margaret Bassett Parker
Margaret Bassett Parker, 94, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30, at Old Live Oak Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Smith officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Parker is survived by three daughters, Catherine (Joe) Brantley, Talladega, Ann Dumas, Durham, N.C.; Nancy Parker, Atlanta; one son, John C. (Eugenia) Parker; Montgomery; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was a native of Safford and a former member of Safford Baptist Church. She was retired from Southern Railroad. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
