MMI takes pair from West Alabama Prep

Jovaris Smith scored a game-high 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and single-handedly outscored West Alabama Prep in the Marion Military Institute Tigers’ 79-22 beating of the visitors on Tuesday night.
Clarence Allgood dropped in 21 points and collected 12 rebounds, and Kendrick Moore had 17 points and 10 steals as the Tigers improved to 13-1 on the season.
In girls’ varsity action, Marion Military Institute completed the sweep with a 72-16 win over the Lady Rebels.
Emily Easley led the way with 30 points for the Lady Tigers (11-3). She was followed by Felicia Sprott with 21 points and Yolanda Kelly with 15 points.
