CCA wins holiday tournament

The Central Christian Academy Warriors are champions.
Tee Woods scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed 20 rebounds to lead Central Christian Academy to a 71-36 victory over Autauga Academy in the finals of the Autauga Academy Holiday Tournament.
Woods added five steals and three assists as the Warriors improved to 7-2 on the season. Bud Smith had 14 points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists for the Warriors, while Jerome Deese chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.
They were followed by Simuel Walker with six points and seven rebounds, Andre Pierce with six points and six rebounds, and Bradley Savage with eight rebounds.
The CCA boys and girls will be in action Dec. 30 at Morgan Academy. The boys’ junior varsity game will tip off at 4 p.m.
