Rams take Aliceville

The Francis Marion High School Rams had four players score in double figures Friday night in a 77-50 rout of Aliceville.
Courtney Sewell led the Rams (3-2 overall, 2-0 in area play) with a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds. He added six steals and two assists.
Francis Marion had no trouble with Aliceville, as the Rams led 27-4 after the first period and coasted to the victory. Devon Dunnican also added a double-double with 16 points and 18 rebounds while adding three steals. Kevin Curry chipped in 15 points and two assists, while Edward Hinkle dropped in 11 points off the bench. Hinkle also had two rebounds and two steals. Devon Woods added seven points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
“We played a very intense game,” Francis Marion coach Woodie Jackson Jr. said. “The defense gave a very good effort tonight. We had the opportunity to work in some things, set some structures.”
The Rams led 41-15 at the half and opened a comfortable 63-27 advantage going into the final period.
“The offense showed some patience tonight,” Jackson said. “We don’t hesitate playing young kids when they can be productive.”
Francis Marion will travel to Livingston next Friday night, then will host Southside on Dec. 21.
