FM Rams clobber West Blocton

In their first area game of the season, coach Woodie Jackson’s Francis Marion Rams sent a message with an 86-24 pummeling of West Blocton Tuesday night at home.
Maring led 18-4 after the first, 38-8 after the second a nd 72-16 after three.
“We did a decent job,” Jackson said. “We changed up defense a lot and everybody got a chance to play.”
Leading scorer for the Rams was Blaine Tindell with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists.
Freshman Elwood Hinkle added 14 points and 2 steals.
Kevin Curry had 11 points and 4 rebounds .
Devin Dunnican finished with a double-double.
He had 11 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks
Courtney Sewell had nine points, 10 rebounds and a block
Dwayne Woods 9 points, 6 boards and 7 steals
“Defensively we did a fair job but couldn’t really tell much,” Jackson said. “When you play (that far ahead) you don’t get a chance to see everything that you’re doing.”
With the win, Marion improves to 1-0 in area play and 2-2 overall
Their next home game won’t be until Southside on the 21st.
