Nichols wins fair title

Molly Nichols was crowed the 2004 Little Miss Central Alabama Fair Saturday evening at the Lions Fair Park.

Molly, 4, attends St. Paul’s Little Friends School and was sponsored by her family and friends.

Along with her title, Molly also received a few special prizes, including a year of free dance lessons at Dany Perry’s Dance Studio and an opportunity to participate in the annual Christmas Parade.

Second runner-up in that pageant was Regan Hewitt. Regan, 4, attends Leika’s School and was sponsored by the Meadowcraft Company.

First runner-up was Jesshann Oglesby. Jesshann, 5, attends Central Christian Academy and was sponsored by Victor Nissan

Carolyn Dunaway, moderator and organizer of the pageant, said all the 26 participants in the pageant received a bag of goodies.

Each girl was given items such as a stuffed toy, a sterling silver bracelet from Butler Truax Jewerlers, coloring books, a bottle of Pepsi and numerous coupons.

Sponsors of the pageant included WHBB, Pilcher McBride Drug Company, Swift Drug Company, Brown Drug Company, Taco Bell, Pepsi Cola, Archway Amusements, and Dany Perry’s Dance Studio.
