Nellie Latham Massey

Nellie Latham Massey, 83, of Selma, died Tuesday, May 25.

Visitations will be Wednesday 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. George Jones and Rev. Doug Chappell officiating with Selma Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by a son, David Moorer (Emily) Massey Jr. of Valley Grande; daughter, Nell Shirley (Willard) Sewell of Selma; sister, Mary Alice Datusch of New Orleans, La; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by Valley Grande Baptist Church to which she was a member, Ruth Edwards Sunday School Class and also Railroad Auxiliary.

Marguerite Nelson Chance

Marguerite Nelson Chance, 80, of Selma, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, at a local nursing home.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Finch officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Lamar (Sarah) Chance; daughters, Margaret Ann (James Ray) Strickland and Mary Alice (Ben) Bender; brother, James (Carolyn) Nelson; sister, Lois (Allen) Huggins; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers are James Nelson, Lamar Griffin, Dwayne Bender, Jamie Bender, Landry

Strickland and Mike Jones.
