Shooting injures Selmian

Shortly before midnight on Wednesday, Arthur Rivers, of Hidden Acres was shot by an unknown assailant. The 19-year-old received relatively minor injuries to his hands and buttocks, according to police reports.
He was transported to the Vaughan Regional Medical Center by ambulance, treated and released.
According to the police,
the case is currently under investigation.
According to Rivers, the assailant was unknown to him.
“All I know, I was just sitting on the porch and some dude with an orange ski mask started shooting,” Rivers said.
According to the police report, the weapon was a black revolver, possibly a .357.
Rivers said he ran into the home of a nearby resident when the gunfire started.
“I ran from Jim Minor Homes into somebody’s trailer and he opened the door and let me in and he called the police,” he said.
Rivers said he had no idea why he was being assaulted.
In separate incidents on Market Street, shortly after midnight, Berry Mickles reported a case of discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
Dewayne Eric Blevins, also reported a case of reckless endangerment at the same address as Rivers’ assault.
