Lady Warriors win

Central Christian Academy’s Lady Warriors took home a pair of wins against Autaugaville Saturday afternoon.

CCA won 7-6 in the first game, while Autagaville forfeited the second game due to lack of players.Going into the seventh down two, the Ladies battled back, picking up three runs in the last.

CCA coach Daryl Dawkins was pleased with the girls performance. &uot;I was proud of them,&uot; he said. &uot;We had to come from behind in the end. They battled back and pulled it out.&uot;

Dawkins said the girls’ error rate is what kept them from winning the game in the beginning.

The Lady Warriors had a total of seven errors before the end.

Nikki Smith pitched a winning game through seven innings, with six strikeouts, three hits and two walks.

Jasmine Moore and Robbie England both hit two-for-three and picked up two runs. Jacqueline Mills hit two-for-four and picked up one run.
