With the anticipation and adrenaline rush that came with attending the BCS National Championship game in New Orleans for the first time, Margie’s Dance Studio want to thank the community for its relentless support.

In appreciation, Margie’s Dance Studio will hold a free mini dance camp for children ages 8 through 15, Saturday, March 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Selma-Dallas County YMCA aerobics room.

Studio owner Margie Burk said the class is a way to ‘give back,’ thanking the community for its contributions and sponsorship.

“On behalf of the dance troupe from Margie’s Dance Center, we say ‘thank you’ to Selma and Dallas County,” Burk said. “Performing at the BCS National Championship Game halftime show has given us memories for a lifetime … the support received from this community played an integral part in our successful trip.”

Burk said dancers attending will help teach dance steps during the camp.
