Several area basketball teams will be in action this week in the AHSAA Regionals in Troy and Mobile this week.

In Troy, at Troy State University, Selma High will begin action Tuesday morning with the Saints playing Jeff Davis at 10:30 a.m. That game will be followed directly by the Lady Saints against Dothan at noon.

On Wednesday in Troy, Wilcox Central will face Oxford at 10:30 a.m.

Central-Hayneville will play Lanett at 8 p.m. in 3A action.

On Thursday, it’s Southside’s turn.

The Lady Panthers will face Opp at 9 a.m. while the boys will play sharp-shooting Bullock County at 1:30 p.m.

In the Southwest Regional to be held at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, R.C. Hatch’s girls begin play at 6 p.m. while the boys follow at 8 p.m. The girls will face Southern Choctaw while the boys go head-to-head with Washington County.

On Wednesday Woodie Jackson’s Francis Marion Rams will face B.B Comer at 1:30 p.m. in Mobile.

Semi-final action gets started on the 27th and lasts through the 28th.
