Selma owns Lee

MONTGOMERY&045;Saturday afternoon Darrett Fletcher was in the zone as he scored 27 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked 2 shots while his Selma team blasted Lee of Montgomery, 81-69.
Playing in the Blue and Gray Tournament, Brandon Davis had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.
He also blocked a shot.
Fletcher went to work early and brought his hard hat because he was doing some construction.
He helped Selma build an early lead as he scored 8 points in the first quarter.
Selma led 21-19 after a quarter.
Lee refused to go away.
In the second quarter, the Saints pushed the lead to 12 but Lee fought back and cut the deficit to 1 at the half.
In the third quarter a technical foul on Selma helped Lee to tie the game at 45.
Fletcher went back to work, hit two jumpers, a layup and a stickback as the Saints closed the quarter on an 11-3 run. Coach Willie Maxey turned up the pressure in the final frame and Lee wilted under Selma’s heat.
Lee turned the ball over four times and Selma turned those errors into points on the other end.
Jeremy Carter added 12 points and Adrian Allen had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Malcom McCrittendon had 6 points and 4 rebounds.
Edgar Brown had 5 points and 5 boards. John Dailey gripped it and ripped it for 4 points.
Randall Rutledge sprained an ankle in the first half and finished with 4 points.
