Dorris C. Gay
Dorris C. Gay, 87, of Alabaster, died Friday, December 19, 2003, at a Alabaster healthcare facility.
Graveside services was at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 20, at Ebenezer Cemetery, Stanton, with the Rev. Frank Posey officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Bailey Gay of Birmingham; brothers, Leighton Houston of Stanton, Eulin Houston of Plantersville and Herman Houston of Selma; and one sister, Hazel Atchison of Selma.
Ms. Gay was a former employee of F.W. Woolworth, and a member of Fairfield First Baptist Church.
Darriell Lamar Hollman
Darriell Lamar Hollman, 32, of Selma, died Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at a Birmingham hospital.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 20, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1416 Selma Ave., with Pastor Eddie Jones officiating. Burial followed in Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Hollman; one daughter, Mietravia Scott of Selma; one son, Darriell Acoff of Selma; parents, Walter and Ruth Hollman of Selma; one brother, Michael Gordon of Selma; three sisters, Sharon (David) Hunter, Bernestine Gordon and Tracey Boone all of Selma; five nephews, two special nephews, David Keonne Hunter and Kourtney Demone Gordon both of Selma; three nieces; mother-in-law, Ada Hollman of Selma; eight sisters-in-law;
and eight brothers-in-law.
Mr. Hollman served in the United States Navy. He attended Wallace Community College School of Nursing.
Robert Lee Jackson
Robert Lee Jackson, 71, of Marion, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at his residence.
Services are scheduled for Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at the Marion United Methodist Church, at 2 p.m. officiated by the Rev. James L. Waters Jr. and Dr. Larry Teasley. Burial will take place at the Marion Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Spencer Jackson of Marion; son, David Alan Jackson, Aliceville; daughter, Judi Jackson Hightower, Troy; brother, the Rev. Edward L. Jackson, Dunedin, Floriday and six granchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ravenelle J. Williams and brother, Otis F. Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marion United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 85, Marion, AL 36756.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at the Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.
Patricia Dalrymple
Patricia Dalrymple, 42, of Enterprise, died Thursday, December 18, 2003, in the Medical Center Enterprise.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Daleville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike Shroades officiating. Burial will follow in the Daleville Memorial Gardens with Searcy Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a son, Aaron Phillip Dalrymple, of Chancellor and several other family members and friends.
